Final week – Social media in ELT
25Feb08
Thanks to the organisers and other participants for a great course. I agreed with so much of what that Gabriela said in her post that I won’t repeat it here. Let the collaboration continue and looking forward to meeting up with many of the same people next year and, hopefully, on other occasions before.
Just one thing which I stupidly left out of the end-of-course survey on ideas for EVO next year – I’d really be interested in focussing on practical ideas for collaborative class projects.

“focussing on practical ideas for collaborative class projects”. I don’t think it’s necessary to wait for next year.
For example, Mary’s idea on flickr/cooking is an easy way to start. Maybe we can use the wiki -the one started and abandoned, to organize collaborative projects.
Good idea. Do you know what tags are being used on Flickr to identify possible collaborative projects? And yes, why not use the wiki for these type of inititatives?
I don’t know. As my classes are starting in March, I haven’t contacted anyone yet. I’ll contact Mary Hillis and tell her about the wiki and perhaps we could suggest the tags there.
Great!
